PARTNERSHIP FOR BIODIVERSITY INFORMATICS

PBI is a partnership among:

  • The National Center for Ecological Analysis and Synthesis (NCEAS)
  • The Natural History Museum and Biodiversity Research Center at the University of Kansas (KU-BRD)
  • The Network Office of the Long Term Ecological Research Program (LTER)
  • The San Diego Supercomputer Center (SDSC) and the California Institute for Telecommunications and Information Technology [Cal-(IT)2] at UCSD

The goal of PBI is to enable scientists and other users to deploy the vast amount of ecological, biodiversity, and environmental information in research, education, and public service in order to help society achieve the means to safeguard our future and a sustainable planet.

To reach these goals, PBI has initiated a number of research and development Projects that are currently active.
